2. Overview
This website processes personal data only to the extent needed to run it and to answer enquiries. Here you can see which data arises when and what we use it for.
3. Hosting and server logs
This website is operated by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, which acts on our behalf. When you open the website, the server processes technically necessary data, mainly your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and details of your browser (server logs). This is necessary to deliver the page, to keep it secure and stable and to prevent abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website). The host keeps the IP addresses for at most 7 days, after which they are made anonymous.
The website also logs technical errors, for example pages that were not found. Your IP address may be stored with such entries. At most the last 100 entries are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
4. Cookies
This website only sets cookies that your own choice triggers. Details are in our Cookie Policy. We use no tools for statistics, advertising or profiling.
5. Detecting the country
So that we can show you a suitable language and the right legal texts, we read the language settings your browser sends with every request, for example "de-AT" for German, Austria. From them we take the language and, as long as you have not chosen a country, the country. Your IP address is not used for this. The setting is only evaluated for the current request; it is not stored and not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in showing suitable content). You can choose another country at any time.
6. Contact by email and contact form
If you write to us by email or through the contact form, we process your name, your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. Messages from the contact form are not stored on the website but only forwarded to us by email. To prevent misuse, your IP address is kept for one hour when you send the form. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if the enquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed for the purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.
7. Recipients
Recipients of your data are service providers who act on our behalf, in particular our hosting provider STRATO GmbH. We do not pass data on to other third parties unless we are legally obliged to.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise them, an email to the address above is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de).
